Discrepancies between BA, Multifitting and IMD in scattering on roughness

BA gives about 1000 times smaller scattering than IMD and Multifitting for roughness on substrate

Roughness:

  • sigma = 0.01 nm
  • cor_radius = 100 nm
  • hurst = 0.5

Substrate:

  • delta = 1e-6, beta = 0

Instrument:

  • theta_incident = 0.2 deg
  • wavelength = 0.1 nm
  • theta_scattered = 0...2 deg
  • num_theta_points = 10000
  • phi scattered = -1..1 deg
  • num_phi_points = 3
  • pixel angular size = 4.06e-8 radian
  • no footptring

Comparison

  • BornAgain: peak scattered intensity (divided by angular pixel size) = 2.45e-6 at theta_scattered = 0.081 deg
  • IMD: peak scattered intensity = 3.09e-3 at theta_scattered = 0.081 deg
  • Multifitting: peak scattered intensity = 3.09e-3 at theta_scattered = 0.081 deg

This should be investigated further.
