GUI: change of sample or of instrument is not transmitted to Simulation tab

To reproduce:

• in Sample tab, create a sample, easiest from Example
• create a second example
• goto Simulation tab: default sample is the first one; it should be the second one

The same holds for a change of instrument in the Instrument tab: it is also not reflected in the Simulation tab.
